GAME CLOSURE NOTICE

raiamodsWe're very sorry to announce that Ethyraia will be closing as of September 1st. Since opening, we have gone from a mod team of three to a mod team of two, and as you may have noticed, we have seen a precipitous drop in players. We simply did not plan for a player base this small, and we aren't sure that the game can sustain itself at its current size and activity levels.
We realize this is sudden, and we're sorry for it. Rest assured everyone is free to finish out their threads — no one will be removed from the comms — but as of September, no application rounds will be conducted and no further mod logs will be posted.
If anyone reaches out to us with the intent to continue the game, we are happy to turn over our event plans and accounts to new moderators. Feel free to DM this account.
We wish all of our wonderful players all the best in their future RP endeavors, and we're so grateful for the time and energy that you have dedicated to our game.

player plot: stalk the thessyx
Jul. 29th, 2021 08:07 pmsunmonhello! it's tifa. i asked the mods on plot engagement about how it'd go if a band of merry hatchlings followed the thessyx as they left, in an attempt to find their city, and they gave us a lot to work with!
in short, we've got:
- 5 days round trip
- trapped in a sweaty dark cave together because of the rain
- new plants/animals (if we submit them)
- creepy mutilated animals!
- a thessyx npc (found by one lucky randomized participant!)
- a poll on what to do about them!
they asked me to make an ooc sign-up post (and there will be a paired mingle log if people want one?) in case anyone who isn't in the discord / on my plurk wants to join in. the full information is below, largely copy-pasted from the mods! please feel free to use this as a plotting post.

This level of detail will be reflective of our future attempts as well and is not specific or limited to what you have brought to us for this tier. so go get your tier 3 player plot on.)

OOC intro/mingle posts in Ethyraia serve a dual function as CR memes for current players. The hope is that this will encourage current players to scan through and greet our new players. Take this opportunity to get to know your fellow players, plan hatching log threads, check-in regarding the keeping of TDM threads (which can be made game canon), find plot hooks, and plan for future CR.

Remember: as long as you aren't reusing the same thread you've already submitted for AC, new comments on backthreads are eligible for the current month's AC.
☆ Kainé, Zeta, Lottie, 9S, 2B, Kaz, Lys, and Maria Juliana have vanished, leaving behind allergy medication, makeup, a bible, rosary beads, five swords (one two-handed), a hunting knife, two pods for combat assistance, two spears, a radio transmitter, some clothes, a walking cane with a crow's head, a deck of playing cards, a jeweled hairpiece, and a goat. Unless someone claims it (please drop a note in Mod Questions if you do), the community outreach department will be collecting and redistributing these items.
