OOC intro/mingle posts in Ethyraia serve a dual function as CR memes for current players. The hope is that this will encourage current players to scan through and greet our new players. Take this opportunity to get to know your fellow players, plan hatching log threads, check-in regarding the keeping of TDM threads (which can be made game canon), find plot hooks, and plan for future CR.
(In the future, we will have a thread at the top of the post for new players to link their comments, to help boost visibility — please keep an eye out for this in the future! Obviously, this round, everyone is new.)

INFO: Alex is a zoologist from an urban fantasy setting where cryptids, magic users, ghosts and all sorts of mythological creatures live in secret. He's human (as far as he knows...) but was born into a blood feud with the secret "monster hunting" organization his ancestors defected from. He had a very strange childhood filled with ghost aunts and talking mice but a happy family life. I've got his full app over here if you want to read a longer, more detailed bio I wrote for him.
SKILLS:
-An uncanny tendency to be in the right place at the right time.
-Animal Handling.
-Firearms.
-Wilderness survival.
-Biology.
-Teaching.
-Melee/bladed fighting.
AREAS OF INTEREST: Exploration, nerding out about the local ecosystem, dealing with the shock of being sucked into another world when he was about to be married with a kid on the way, icly trying to avoid dealing with those feelings by helping other people with theirs
PLANS/GOALS: Develop as much CR I can and see where it goes.
CR PREFERENCES: I don't see romantic stuff happening just yet given where in canon I'm taking him from, but open to discussing it if things develop on a longer term.
His family's prone to adopting strays so if you want a nerdy older (or younger) brother figure, he's really good material for that.
He has literally no male friends that have shown up in canon that aren't related to him so it'd be nice for him to make a few of those.
MISC HOOKS: He has a pet church griffin- imagine a cross between a Maine Coon cat and a raven. His name is crow and he's smarter than any cat or bird he might resemble. He's more outgoing than Alex is and can be used as an icebreaker by approaching people for food or scritches.
NOTES: Like Alex, I was in the right place at the right time to see the TDM ad and do not really know anyone here. I look forward to changing that!
