OOC intro/mingle posts in Ethyraia serve a dual function as CR memes for current players. The hope is that this will encourage current players to scan through and greet our new players. Take this opportunity to get to know your fellow players, plan hatching log threads, check-in regarding the keeping of TDM threads (which can be made game canon), find plot hooks, and plan for future CR.
(In the future, we will have a thread at the top of the post for new players to link their comments, to help boost visibility — please keep an eye out for this in the future! Obviously, this round, everyone is new.)

INFO: jules is a catholic nun and an exorcist with powers that she got from a demon when she was possessed as a child. recently her whole life got shook up when she found out that the travelling preacher who gave her purpose when she was a teenager was actually that demon, and that demon had been summoned to possess her on purpose by the church. jules's terrible horrible no good very bad botched exorcism, basically. she's not your bread and butter boring nun either, she's one of those Fun Nuns who Swears and Knows About The Internet so have fun with that novelty~
SKILLS: basic first aid, chatting, washing, cleaning, organising, that kind of thing. also a little bit of power-assisted detective work, if necessary.
AREAS OF INTEREST: mostly CR-generating at this stage! as jules stands right now you don't want her fighting in any big battles, but i would not be opposed to her learning how to hold her own physically if anyone would like to give her some training~
PLANS/GOALS: just getting settled atm! this is a very weird situation for jules (like it is for everyone!) so just letting her find her groove is my first priority atm. also some internal reckoning on her relationship with religion and herself, but that's a more long-term thing.
CR PREFERENCES: friends!! friends please!! people to shoot the shit with. also, jules can be kind of blunt and tactless and sometimes annoying with those grumpy-type characters, so i'm more than happy to have some slightly weary CR she can grow on like a mushroom. idk if i really want extremely negative CR, buuuut i'm also aware that she's a walking trigger for characters who have issues with religion so i'm not opposed to that, but she won't be trying to preach or shove anything down anyone's throats so no worries there! also, jules has the power of psychometry (see notes!), and part of that is being able to sense nonhumans and people with powers and also items that have magic or whatever, so if you want to play with that, that's definitely also an option~
MISC HOOKS: yes that is a literal nun walking around, yes she continues to wear her habit, feel free to ask about it.
NOTES: nonhuman/supernatural/powered characters and/or characters with special powered items or weapons!! please check out my opt-in post regarding jules' psychometry, it would be super appreciated if you could give the form a quick fill out if your character hits any of those marks and you wanna thread~

Blunt tactlessness won't be a problem, he gives middle-schoolers tours of the reptile house 3 times a business day back home. Children really are ruthless and do not CARE what the word "herpetology" really means.
