[ John watches him - yeah, him, not it - intently. It's nothing any machine has ever said to him, and nothing anyone's ever told him about them. They're entirely separate from humans. They can look like them, imitate their behaviors, but there's some essential part of humanity that they'll never be able to replicate. They have data. They can't feel, not really. Not like a human does. Because they don't have souls.

But this one thinks he was human. That's a difference. That's a hell of a difference.
