Looking back, it all seems so obvious... but whenever things got bad, I thought there was a reason for it. That it meant something. They told us everywhere else was even worse, and we could only fix Etheria by conquering it, so it made sense to dedicate our resources towards raising an army. Any distractions would only make us soft. Weak.
