JULY MINGLE & CR MEME ❀
OOC intro/mingle posts in Ethyraia serve a dual function as CR memes for current players. The hope is that this will encourage current players to scan through and greet our new players. Take this opportunity to get to know your fellow players, plan hatching log threads, check-in regarding the keeping of TDM threads (which can be made game canon), find plot hooks, and plan for future CR.

This month is for wrapping up the conclusion of the June event and its fall-out, which works out nicely based on how things looked on our State of the Game post. While we are no longer accepting submissions for IC actions because the follow-up is drafted, take your time backthreading event things! Remember: as long as you aren't reusing the same thread you've already submitted for AC, new comments on backthreads are eligible for the current month's AC.

Unless someone claims it (please drop a note in Mod Questions if you do), the community outreach department will be collecting and redistributing these items.

INFO: cal is a very good egg and lowkey jedi (space wizard with a laser sword) from a galaxy far, far away with lots of trauma and a lil pinch of sass for ~flavor~. he can be a little cagey sometimes (for Reasons) and it's hard to get him to open up, but he's still just really kind and earnest and eager to help out! he's a real good kid, kind of a boy scout, very friend-shaped
SKILLS: being from a star war, he's actually very familiar with the level of tech the survivors have, and he has some mechanical skill of his own. if you need someone to explain the tech or fix something up for you, he's the guy. he's also pretty handy with his lightsaber, if fighting counts as a...skill
AREAS OF INTEREST: making friends, exploring the planet, going on fun expeditions for supplies/medicine/whatever, getting into Shenanigans, etc.
PLANS/GOALS: what are you talking about i fly by the seat of my pants always lmao. one thing that would be nice would be for people to crack him open like an egg and get him to actually talk about himself! other than that i'm really just winging it here
CR PREFERENCES: friends friends friends!! it's hard for him to trust people (again, for Reasons) and he's had kind of a rough go of it lately so people who are just like... nice to him. he's around 18ish, so other kids his age would be cool, as well as older people to take him under their wingssss. he's pretty easygoing so he can get along with a wide variety of characters!
MISC HOOKS: a few things, actually!
1. he has a power that allows him to touch objects and see the memories/feelings associated with them, so!! if your character has something with some neat and/or traumatic memories attached that's some sweet, sweet cr building right there.
2. he doesn't really advertise it but, being a jedi, he's force sensitive and can feel energy/aura/magic/chi/chakra/whatever and weird psychic stuff (like those thessyx dreams) is like no big deal to him. so anybody with any kind of magical power would probably register to him, and vice versa(?)
3. he has a cute droid companion, BD-1, who follows him around everywhere and tends to stick his nose where it doesn't belong. he's the best droid in the whole galaxy and that IS a hill i would die on. cal can gush about him for ages, just ask
