[seeing how the resident doctor is so harried, moaning about wanting to take a break, the erune doesn't feel any need to take her place. he certainly doesn't want to be in that situation-- not in a place he doesn't know, with wildlife he doesn't know how to manipulate, with drugs he cant understand. so he keeps his head down, and his back facing her, just so she doesn't see what he's doing with his hands as he works on someone with quick, steady, experienced hands. luckily he has his coat to obscure any eyes that may be following him. and to hide his guns. even he knows they're inappropriate in such a setting, but he needs them for protection.

nehan takes a bottle of alcohol and reaches for a cotton swab... before thinking better of it. he'll just pour the thing once he gets this out of the way:]

This is going to sting-- that's natural. That means it's cleaning the dirt from the wound, and killing what bacteria is in it. I'll apply it right away, unless you want some cloth to muffle your screaming. [is this good bedside manner or not?]

[given his help at the aid station, nehan has been tapped to help out again. he doesn't need to take notes on those in deep sleeps, but he does so anyway. he himself doesn't need sleep, not right now. this is fine, sleep is for the weak, not for those dead inside. but he also takes it upon himself to pay attention to those affected, but are not sleeping. who seem more animated than most-- after all, who knows if they're contagious?

his ears twitch when he hears sounds-- sounds that should not be there, like someone moving about and doing things. that makes him peek into the room, one hand on one of his guns... before he takes his hand off it and scowls.]

Go bad to bed. [his tone is stern. he's not going to relent, no matter the argument.] Don't make me force you.
